Nancy Heischman, Executive Director

Nancy began working with the Conflict Resolution Center as a consultant in 1994, to develop the Small Claims Mediation Program. She joined the staff later that year, and went on to develop CRC's Workplace Training and Mediation programs. She has since worked collaboratively with the County of Santa Cruz Probation Department to develop the Victim-Offender Dialogue Program and with the City of Watsonville to support the development of the Neighborhood Mediation Program. Nancy currently divides her time between mediation, training, and program administration.

Vicki Assegued, Coordinator of Victim-Offender Dialogue and Parent-Teen Mediation Programs

Vicki has been providing mediation services since 1994. Before Joining CRC's staff in 2002, she taught conflict resolution skills to students, teachers, and parents throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties, and served as Coordinator of the Conflict Resolution Team at Watsonville High. Vicki began her work at CRC as Victim-Offender Dialogue Program Coordinator. In 2007 her role was expanded to include responsibility for the Parent-Teen Mediation Program.

Bonnie Primbsch, Coordinator of Court and Community Mediation Programs

Bonnie received her first mediation training with Santa Clara County's Office of Human Relations. She parlayed her new skills into a position at a local company facilitating meetings among management, and did freelance mediation for community groups and media organizations. As Public Affairs Producer for KUSP-FM in Santa Cruz, Bonnie arranged interviews about the Conflict Resolution Center's Victim-Offender Dialogue Program and other local restorative justice initiatives. She trained with CRC in March 2005 and served as a volunteer in CRC's Community and Parent-Teen Mediation Programs until joining the staff in August 2007. Her position was made possible by a partnership with the Santa Cruz County court system, in which people thinking of litigating are encouraged to try mediation instead.
